Japanese average daily sleep time is below world average

According to a study in 28 countries, the average sleep of Japanese is 6 hours 35 minutes per day. This is 45 minutes below the international average. Therefore, they become very exhausted during the day.

The average sleep time in Estonia, Canada, Belgium, Austria and the Netherlands is above the world average, while the Finns sleep 7 hours and 45 minutes on average. This helps to increase people's productivity during the day.

The research of health products producer Fuji Ryoki also shows that 92.6 out of 100 Japanese people over the age of 20 "can't get enough sleep."

In companies that are legally prepared to give sleep permits to their employees, tired and sleepless workers began to sleep in their seats, even if their rooms are not yet ready. Employers tolerate these slumber at the desk.
