Home care is often used to remove the accumulation of wax that affects your ears; ear pain or clogged ears, hearing loss, tinnitus, itching, odor and discomfort, such as discharge causes symptoms. Debrox Drops, a non-descriptive ear congestion aid, uses carbamide peroxide as the active ingredient. Carbamide peroxide is a drop of detergent that softens earwax, according to the American Academy of Otorhinolaryngology. Debrox Drops are approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for use by people 12 years and older. If you are treating someone under 12 years of age, consult a doctor first.

Apply five to 10 drops of Debrox Drops on the painful ear. According to the manufacturer, the carbamide peroxide in this product releases oxygen which forms a foam when it comes into contact with the ear. After using Debrox, you can make a cracking sound.
Use Debrox Twice a day for no more than four hours, or longer if your doctor recommends long-term use. This should adequately remove the ear blockage, but if you still notice any signs of impact, go to Step 3.
Wash ear with lukewarm water. AAO says that watering can be done at home using the ampoule syringe or device produced for this purpose. Heat water to body temperature to prevent vertigo.
