Question: What is the best way to remove earwax?

So-called earwax (a combination of ear canal secretions, dead skin cells and hair) actually protects your ears. If deposition becomes problematic, try an OTC earwax cleaning kit that uses water and saline. Or see your doctor who can use special tools to carefully remove the ear discharge. (Persons who use hearing aids should consider wax cleaning appointments to their doctors every six months.) Whatever you do, do not wear cotton swabs, use oral jet irrigators, and avoid ear bleeding!
