What is Vaginal Fungal Infection?
It is a type of infection caused by Candida albicans. It can be seen in the vagina, mouth and moist areas of the body. Normal flora of the vagina contains a certain number of bacteria. In some cases, however, this flora is disturbed and fungi multiply, causing infection. Antibiotic use, menopause, pregnancy, birth control pills are used, blood sugar is not under control, diabetes, drug therapy that suppresses the intestinal system, AIDS and other conditions such as impaired hormonal balance. How to Treat Vaginal Fungal Infection?
In the treatment of vaginal fungus, oral tablets, cream or suppositories are used. Chronic fungal infections should be investigated if there is a condition that disrupts the immune system. The infection may take several days or 1 week to heal.
